I've always been an optimist I suppose. I always believe that you can overcome if you try hard enough, work hard enough to do so. It isn't easy to triumph, that much is certain, but you can if you try. I guess I don't believe in any no-win situations. There always has to be some kind of benefit, way out or solution to a situation, though it may not always be the one you wanted or counted on. Loving life means embracing it; you have to embrace all of it, not just the good times. If that were true then life would be easy and we'd be more than bored. I believe most people wouldn't truly want to live that life if they knew it was going to be easy day after day, with no challenges, no surprises. You might as well be a sheep or a cow in that kind of existence.
To love life is to enjoy what you have, when you have it. If you don't embrace all that is in your life you quickly find yourself missing out on the best of what life has to offer. Maybe it's your kids, your spouse or significant other, your job, your hobbies. Embrace them now, urgently and enjoy every second, because those moments will not come again. That is one of the certainties about life. This moment will pass on and become the past and you cannot go back and regain it. Love your friends, love your family and enjoy them as they are right now or risk losing those moments and hating yourself for it later.
